Every Child Matters
Created in recognition of Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Every Child Matters is an original artwork by Indigenous artist Cliff Skelliter, originally created in collaboration with Alstom.
Rooted in the visual language of Woodland art, the piece uses bold lines, vivid colour and interconnected forms to reflect relationships between people, the natural world and spirit, elements that have long been central to the Woodland tradition. FirstNationsEasternWoodlandArtO…
At the centre of the artwork is a bird in flight, carrying the words Every Child Matters. It is a reminder of the children who were taken, the families and communities forever affected by the residential school system, and the responsibility we share to listen, remember and move forward together.
This print was created not simply to be displayed, but to carry the message forward.
$10 from every print sold will be donated to the Orange Shirt Society, supporting their work in advancing awareness of the continuing impacts of residential schools and the message that Every Child Matters.
Each framed print arrives ready to hang, professionally produced on matte paper and finished in a clean orange, white, or black frame.
